AADAC Resource Catalogue Ordering FAQ

Why are some resources only available to "Read/View Resource Online"?

This is the most cost-effective way for AADAC to provide quick access to our basic information 24 hours a day. Generally, web resources provide brief, clear information that answers the questions most commonly asked.

I have the option of purchasing items using a credit card or cheque. Which is safer?

Both payment methods are safe, and both have their benefits. Ordering with a credit card or cheque depends on personal preference and how quickly you need to process your order.

Ordering online with a credit card means AADAC will receive your order as soon as you submit it. This allows us to process and ship your order more quickly.

If you would like to pay by cheque, you will need to print out your order form from AADAC’s website and mail it along with your cheque. It may take a long time for your order and cheque to reach AADAC.

Why can't I fax my order to AADAC?

AADAC must receive payment for our resources before we will ship them (either by credit card or cheque). AADAC does not accept fax orders because it is not a secure means to transmit your credit card number.

If you do not want to process your order online or by mail, please call 1-800-280-9616 (available in North America only). For international orders, please contact rdm@aadac.gov.ab.ca

I do not live within North America. How do I order AADAC resources?

If you live outside North America, you have to contact AADAC by e-mail at rdm@aadac.gov.ab.ca. Please mention the resources you are interested in ordering.

A member of our Marketing & Resource Services team will respond to your e-mail letting you know the cost of the resources and the shipping and handling fees.

What is MiraPay?

MiraPay is a service that allows web-based retailers to accept credit card transactions.

The unique feature of MiraPay is that when you enter your credit card information, you are not entering it on AADAC’s website; you are entering it on MiraPay's secure site. MiraPay processes the transaction for AADAC, produces a receipt, sends you back to AADAC's website, and e-mails both you and AADAC the results of the transaction.

top

Why does MiraPay's website say I need to disable my pop-up blocker?

MiraPay uses pop-up windows to display the confirmation of your credit card payment and direct you back to AADAC's online confirmation of your requested items. This process will not work properly with computers using software that blocks pop-up windows. Please take the time to disable your pop-up blocker or your order will be cancelled. As soon as you have completed your transaction and printed off your order confirmation from AADAC's catalogue, you can turn your pop-up blocker back on.
