Department Description
- co-ordinates the development of AADAC's provincial relationship initiative (e.g., primary care network), including strengthening collaborative relationships with a variety of health sector organizations and professions
- maintains awareness of health activities across the province to ensure that AADAC has the capacity to respond quickly to current and emerging issues
- champions AADAC's leadership in implementing and evaluating the province's service delivery model for Albertans with addiction and mental health issues (concurrent disorders)
- leads AADAC's internal Building Capacity Initiative, which includes identifying staff learning needs and developing related resource materials, providing clinical consultation and support to AADAC service providers, and remaining abreast of and recommending leading-edge practices in serving clients with concurrent disorders
- project-manages assigned provincial initiatives
- provides ongoing leadership and direction in the implementation of the Alberta Drug Strategy
- manages AADAC’s involvement in cross-government initiatives and provincial collaborations on Enhanced Services for Women, Family Violence and Bullying Prevention , and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder
