AADAC executive and staff, AADAC funded agencies, government departments, professional associations, non-profit societies, private companies, and the public.

Department Description

  • oversees a province wide network of outpatient counselling and prevention services for youth and adults through urban clinics in Edmonton, Calgary and Red Deer; satellite offices in Leduc, Sherwood Park, St. Albert, Stony Plain, Airdrie, Cochrane, High River and Strathmore; and 25 area offices in communities throughout the province
  • provides outpatient counselling, intensive day programs and prevention services for adults in Edmonton and Calgary, and information, prevention and treatment services for adults and youth through the Red Deer clinic, satellite offices and area offices
  • offers methadone maintenance treatment through the Opioid Dependency Program in Edmonton and Calgary
  • co-ordinates, profiles and strengthens AADAC's role and leadership in the prevention of problems related to alcohol, other drugs and gambling through support to  the  field, integrated planning and action in AADAC’s four prevention target areas: schools, families, communities and workplaces
  • seeks and responds to opportunities for collaboration with community-based services (e.g., Health Regions) and with other government departments in an effort to streamline services provided to Albertans
  • provides information and responds to questions and issues raised by clients, staff and the public about AADAC’s policies, programs and services
