Poetry Postings

Untitled

by Robert

A nuance of color,
Entangles me.
The gooey orange glow of fire,
Drifts from belief.
As I step into the threshold of winter,
It grasps my thoughts,
Ensconces cognitivity,
And leaves me to treasure autumn's faded presence.
Dull gray substitutes the phantasmagoria of bitter yellow.
As stone white steps move innocently beneath my feet,
And harsh cold teases my fragile skin.
Heart encumbered, mind at ease.
Eyes focused on a gentle soul,
Through flurry and past translucent glacial walls,
Contrition voided as I take her hand.
Disappear behind this veil,
Of destructive white.
We find ourselves encompassed by a mellow moonlight.
Storm dies down as she waves goodbye,
Bid farewell to ethereal night.
